I finally got around to creating another slitherlink. I wanted something a little more challenging than my first, and something with a nice aesthetic look to the starting clues. What came out was this. Just to forewarn you, this one is not easy. I actually felt a little dirty for letting this one loose in the world.

Nice one, enjoyed the solve :) And don't worry about hard slitherlinks. After practicing on kwontomloop (and I think a lot of people are), it felt more on the easy side ;)
I appreciate your honest opinion. Yesterday I breezed through solving it because I still had the completed solution pulled up on another page. When I came to a sticking point, a little what-if pointed me in the right direction. Today, I tried it without the solution, and for a while I thought I had an unsolvable puzzle. I finally got it, though. Then again, I've never been a fan of the parity method, so it may be easier to solve that way. Anyways, I'll have to check out kwontomloop. Never tried that puzzle. In any case, I think from now on, I'll just leave the difficulty rating up to the viewers. lol.
Kwontompuzzle is just a slitherlink site. However, the puzzles there are very very hard. Using every trick in the book, including parity and uniqueness and tons of patterns is an absolute must, some sort of (mental) backtracking almost unavoidable, and in some cases you actually have to do trial'n'error (which is supported pretty nicely), although perhaps it's just me not having enough skill to avoid it.

I just tried the current puzzle on Kwontomloop. It certainly was hard. Towards the end, I had to do a little trial and error, and I just happened to hit on the solution. Nice puzzles, but I wasn't too fond of the applet. Of course, the one I link to is in Japanese, so there's not much room for me to talk.
A very nice puzzle, with a Nicoli flavour. Thanks
